CHIME.COM for the Arari-Portfolio ================================= System requirements: -------------------- This program only runs correctly on the Atari-Portfolio palmtop- computer. Mine came with DIP 2.11 v1.072. I hope that there aren't any problems with other versions. However, please backup important data before starting the program. I assume no liability for any damage which may result from the use of this software, even if your display suddenly melts. Disk space: at least 512 bytes (fits into 1 cluster of a 128kB-ram-card) free RAM-memory: at least 352 bytes How to use Chime ---------------- Chime is a program to tell the current time with a sequence of short beeps. You can use it to inform you about the time during the night whenever you wake up without having to switch on the light. When Chime is started, the first thing it does is to power off the Portfolio. After this, each time you press any key, the Portfolio will strike the hour. To become more specific: Every digit of the current time will be struck separately. Example: o a key is pressed o short sound as announcement o you hear: --- - - - - - - - - - - - - o The computer switches off again automatically where --- is a long beep and - a short beep The time in this example is 06:24. Note: The settings in the menu Setup/Sounds have no effect on the chime-beeps.
